Australia’s great grand patriarch of writing, Tom Keneally, remains as ‘common man’ as ever in his outlook on life, regardless of so many honours bestowed and worldwide glory gained. Rossella Venturi, former deputy editor of Marie Claire magazine in Milan, has never been daunted by fame, in any case, so she was thrilled to have the opportunity to interview Keneally on the occasion of his latest novel, Two Old Men Dying, being published this month. The novel:
… explores the journeys of modern Australians alongside the imagined story of ancient Learned Man whose remains were discovered in Western NSW decades ago.
Keneally also gives his three top writing tips for other aspiring authors.
