Anthology book launch a great celebration
When you put a whole bunch of authors into a select bookstore and add champagne and hor’s o’euvres there’s no telling how much fun you can have in one night.
We did just that for Sydney School of Arts & Humanities’ first anthology book launched at Ariel bookstore in Darlinghurst. Several writers got up to speak to add to the general acclaim … telling how the writing process went for them.
Maria Issaris & Cat Davey
We’re so pleased with the outcome of our mix of short stories – half contributed by emerging writers attending our meet ups and the other half from writers who responded to our call for stories from exotic parts of Australia and Asia.
Of course the contributors love to read their own stories first – but praise is being heaped on the collection as a whole. Our particular thanks to guest editor, Maria Issaris. And of course to all the writers whose funny, fearsome, frank, fair-minded or flibbertigibbet stories have contributed to the total success. So here’s the role call of our authors:
Stewart Adams, David Adès, Marjorie Banks, David Benn, Cat Davey, Sharon Dean, Lawrence Goodstone, Richard Hambleton, Sam Herzog, Matt Jackson, Grace Lightly, Guy Micklethwait, Clarissa Militante, Jennifer Neil, Rossco Robertson, Matt Stuart, Carolyn Thrum and Geetha Waters.
You can BUY and read their stories just as soon as you like here – in ebook or print format. A good grounding if you’re anticipating contributing to our next anthology due out in early 2019. Or just a good all-round read!
