WRITING IN ELYSIUM
A WRITERS WORKSHOP TOUR IN KERALA, SOUTH INDIA
LIMITED SPACES AVAILABLE
BOOK NOW FOR 10 DAYS OF WRITING & TRAVEL – $3570 + airfare
A small group of lovers of words and writing will explore local Kerala culture, poetry and community in a tour focussed on literature.
Guided by an award-winning poet and teacher, developing writers from Australia will have the chance to take part in a unique cultural experience, meeting writers from this ancient culture and language.
Elysium means ‘a dwelling place of perfect happiness for the soul’. As travellers in an exotic land, this will be our touchstone.
Be inspired in idyllic settings to write from the heart and the landscape. Meet local writers, teachers and students. Attend a presentation on the history and costuming of Kathakali dance-drama. Shop in the Fort area of Cochin, a city known for centuries as the ‘Queen of the Arabian Sea’. And write your impressions in a supportive group setting all along the way.
